Style Diary: Trends for Spring-Summer 2015

Summers are on the helm (even knocking hard in some places) and Reliance Trends has brought in their new collection to beat the heat in style.

Here’s a Spring/Summer Lookbook for all of you in association with Reliance Trends and Femina. We have assembled these six looks which are both chic and affordable. Reliance Trends stores have a wide variety of brands which range from western to Indian and even Indo-western (the latest addition.) And the best part - these are always priced to suit your pockets. So check out these looks and let us know which are the ones you liked.

Look #1: Office Chic

Lookbook Office Chic
Here’s the new avatar of the cool white trousers. This one has all over design in net (kind of self-design) from Rio (Rs. 1199). I have teamed it up with a pink and white fun sheer blouse (Rs. 499) to get the bright summer day look. Subtle pink lips will give you that edge. Add on some accessories in white (a sling bag, watch, wedged sandals) and you are ready for office or a casual day outing/lunch just like that.

Look #2: Bohemian Twist

Lookbook Bohemian Twist
Now this one’s an indowestern look from one of the most colorful brands at Reliance Trends - Fusion. Pair of black harem pants with colorful figurines forming the broad waistband (Rs. 999). Teamed this up with a sleeveless lycra(ish) top with bright colorful ethnic motifs (Rs. 599). I also threw in a sleeveless denim jacket with a design in pink at the back (Rs.999) to add layers to this super comfortable look.

Look #3: Ethnic Night Out

Ethnic Night Out
Avaasa at Reliance Trends has a wide range of salwar suits and kurti collection. I tried out a four piece cotton ensemble comprising of - purple dupatta with golden border, printed green sleeveless anarkali long kurta, purple churidar and a full sleeves short printed jacket in a purple base (Rs.1999). The jacket makes all the difference - you can leave it open from front or button it up. Opt for or not the dupatta. Overall, several combinations can be made out of this outfit to suit your mood and occasion.

Look #4: Beach Hopping

Beach Hopping
Well, beach hopping or simply shopping this two piece (yes, it’s not a one piece jumpsuit) set of printed blouse (Rs. 699) and bottom (Rs. 899) from Fig  is most comfortable and stylish for both occasions.I tucked in the blouse to give a jumpsuit look and liked the fact that I can create multiple looks with these two separately. In fact, the material was so comfortable on my skin that I can literally sleep in it. A statement neckpiece and a dash of red on the lips can help you get that cool diva look.

Look #5: Girls Day Out

Girls Day Out
This one’s a perfect summer day-out outfit with cool baby pink khadi quarter sleeves shirt (Fig, Rs.599) and stretchable light blue printed denims (Dnm X, Rs. 1199). I liked the light grey detailing on the shirt collar in contrast to the pink and the elastic at the bottom hemline. The denims were easy fitting and comfortable. Throw in a pair of sunglasses and you are ready to beat the heat.

Look #6: Festive Party

Festive Party
This one’s Avaasa again. Layered sleeveless kurta with all over tribal folk print and colorful waistband (Rs. 1199). I absolutely adored the neck design. I teamed it up with mustard leggings (lycra.com, Rs. 399) and same color mojris (these were mine) to get the festive look.
I visited Reliance Trends store at Axis Mall, Newtown - Kolkata and all pictures have been taken in store. Special Mention - the staff was really helpful and pleasant!!
