Whipped TLC : Blemishes

Blemishes are marks on the skin due to boils, pimples, acne, itching, rashes or some other skin problems.Blemishes can spell doom for most of our kindred, but more so for the fair-skinned.Me being a prime example.I suffered from acne in my teens and even though now I'm zit free(most days) the blemishes on my face make me cringe every time I look in the mirror.Makeup can be a temporary solution for a problem that is more or less permanent if not treated.
There are many laser and chemical treatments available but many things found in our kitchen can help get rid of blemishes to a great extent.
Here are two recipes whipped up to help reduce blemishes:

Gram Flour Pack
2 tbsp gram flour(besan)
pinch of turmeric
few drops of lemon
1 tbsp curd
Mix all the ingredients to make a smooth paste and apply. After 15 minutes wet your fingers and gently massage off the pack .Rinse with water.Use every alternate day.Lemon has bleaching properties and gram flour helps to get rid of dead skin.

Potato Mask
1 small potato
few drops of lemon juice
1 tbsp honey

Grate potatoes, wrap them in a cloth and take out the juice. Mix few drops of lemon juice and honey to it and apply it on the face. If you don't want to apply it all over the face then apply only on the marks. Wash off after 20 minutes. Potato has bleaching agents, which reduces the blemishes. If applied on the entire face it helps in
reducing pigmentation and marks caused by sun tan and burn.
